The one fully classical project in the portfolio — and the only one where the studio drew the façade as well as the interior. A two-storey brick house: a drawing room with a fireplace and Chesterfields, a walnut hall with the stair, a white kitchen-dining room, bedrooms for the adults and two for the children — lilac and blue. The classicism is not applied decoration: mouldings, panelling and architraves are drawn to the actual heights and openings, and the built-in wardrobes sit flush within them.

Interior

Drawing room: a fireplace between two windows, Chesterfields, a portrait over the mantel

Hall: the stair with walnut balusters, panelled walls, the entrance group

Kitchen-dining room: white glazed fronts, a round table, herringbone parquet

The same hall the other way: full-height built-in wardrobes and console tables

Main bedroom: a bay with a window seat, a moulded cornice

The same room: a wall of wardrobes built into the panelling rather than set against it

Girl's bedroom: a lilac wall, wardrobes built in and painted to match

Boy's bedroom: a blue headboard, wardrobes flush with the wall

Guest bedroom: a dark timber portal, a mirrored wardrobe

Bathroom: pale stone, a double vanity, a framed mirror

Dressing room: perimeter-lit shelving, shoe tiers, niches sized for boxes
